CRNA Direct launched in 2005 with the intention of being a comprehensive resources site for CRNA's. We started with Information on CRNA Schools, added resource sections, a bookstore, a news page, and then a job board. The site did well in the early days but grew into a very well trafficed site. The management team wanted to make sure that we were offering visitors real value when they came to the site.

After much research and debate, we introduced the new CRNA Direct in May of 2009. The new site reflects the findings of our analysis and now concentrates on three things; Education, Jobs, & Placement Services. There will still be other information on the site, it is just that we now know what is most important to our visitors and will always use that information to guide our decisions. The following paragraphs will explain our position on our core services.

Education:
We think that the CRNA Schools are the backbone of the anesthesia world. 66% of all the anesthesia delivered is done so by someone that passed through one of 108 schools that offer a CRNA programs. So we will continue to offer information, profiles, and links for all CRNA programs. We will also look for ways to foster relationships with these institutions so that we may better learn how to get their message to potential students as well as their alumni.

Jobs:
Now this is the central concern of every RN / SRNA / CRNA. Everyone wants that perfect Job and if its that important to you, its that important to us.

We believe that the better informed a decision, the better the decision. As such, we will be filling our job board with positions that we aggregate from every source imaginable. We expect to have the single most comprehensive listing of available CRNA jobs anywhere. Whether you are looking for locum work or want a permenant placement, prefer OB or absolutely hate it, prefer Florida or Washington state, if its available, we will have it for you.

Placement Services:
You are about to find out why we think CRNA Direct is unique among CRNA placement agencies.  Before we talk about what makes us different, let’s look at where we are somewhat similar to other agencies.  We have a highly capable team of agents.  We equip them with tools that enable them to efficiently conduct placement related activities.  We charge the employers a fairly standard industry rate for bringing them a full time employee and a standard hourly rate for placing a locum.  And that is where the similarities end.
We are different in some very interesting ways.

• Because of our commitment to the schools, we make a donation to the general scholarship fund of the candidates CRNA program, in their name, upon being placed through us.
• We are a team of owner-agents with a lot CRNA ties.  (One partner is a practicing CRNA while another’s wife is a full-time CRNA)
