The salary is competitive but speaking to CRNAs that work and have worked with the group you can be making any where between 170k and 200k taking call and getting some OT. Description: HOME OF BEACHES, SAILS AND BIG FISH TALES Memorial Medical Center is a 25 bed critical access hospital located on the heart of the Texas Gulf Coastal Bend Region. Port Lavaca is a family friendly community offering a variety of recreation from fishing, boating, bird and wildlife watching, beach coming to hiking and cycling around the extensive bays and waterways. If you prefer a metropolian lifestyle, within a radius of 150 miles, you have Austin, Houston and the San Antonio Riverwalk. Corpus Christi is just 90 miles south. This is a two person group which does general bread and butter cases and averages aproximately 20 cases per month not including OB. OB does approximately 15-20 deliveries per month and the CRNA provides labor epidurals and spinals. The General Surgeon has clinic three days per week and the usual cases are Laroscopic gall bladders, hernias, IandD and removal of lumps and bumps. The ENT usually does about 4 cases per week. There are 15 physicians on staff and an additional 8 that offer outpatient clinics at the hospital. Call is every other day, every other week. This may seem like alot, but it is not busy since there is not a general surgeon or an orthopedic surgeon in town. Most all traumas are transferred to the bigger hospitals in Victoria, Texas. If you are looking for a slower pace, with a staff that is professional, well trained, helpful and a pleasure to work with, this job is for you.

On hotter days, cool off at the world-class Galleria, the Fine Arts Museum or any one of the more than 10,000 trendy restaurants and clubs. The cases include everything with the exception of burns and transplants. There are 7 MDs and 15 CRNAs currently and one more CRNA is needed. The perfect candidate would be someone to cover the 3-11 shifts, but other shifts may be available. Call is 1st and 2nd call and divided evenly among the CRNAs. There is opportunity for OT and additional call for the CRNA looking to maximize earnings. Pay for this position is based on experience and ranges from $120,000 to $170,000. Call pay is $100 for carrying the beeper, plus call back and OT is paid at $95 per hour. Average hours worked are 45 hours a week and there is an opportunity for additional OT if desired. Benfits package includes a $10,000 sign on bonus with a 2 year minimum commitment. Willing to negotiate a relocation bonus as well! Retirement is a 401k plan, with an average of 5% employer matching after the first year with a seven-year vesting schedule. Also included is 5 weeks of PTO the first year and six weeks thereafter and CME reimbursement is $1,500. The group offers health, life, dental, and vision and cover 100% of the cost for the CRNA.
