Description: The Department of Anesthesiology at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital is seeking two qualified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists to join our dedicated group of providers. As one of the newer clinical sites of Greater Houston Anesthesiology, P.A. (GHA), we have the dynamic of an ever-evolving mid-sized group, with all of the resources of one of the largest Anesthesia groups in the country at our disposal. Since taking over the Anesthesiology service at SJMH almost 3 years ago, we have made dramatic improvements in both the quality of Anesthesia care provided, as well as the work environment for our group's members.We are a group of 6 full-time Anesthesiologists. Along with a pool of 6-8 CRNAs, we cover 7 operating rooms, 2 endoscopy suites, and an OB service on a daily basis. Our OR case mix includes General Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, Gynecology, Plastic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Neurosurgery (backs), Ophthalmology, Cardiothoracic (thoracoscopies, pericardial windows), Vascular (carotids, peripheral vascular), and Chronic Pain. Our Endo cases include EGDs, colonoscopies, ERCPs. We do no heads and no hearts. It is possible to stay current with procedures that we do not routinely perform at this facility by becoming credentialed and spending a few days at other hospitals that are serviced by GHA.We do have flexibility in terms of work schedules, such as 5-8s and 4-10s. Call is not required -- it is completely optional for CRNAs. Flexibility with work schedule can be obtained by picking up 2nd call or working late shifts. Incumbent will complete a minimum of 40 hours of continuing education every two years for re-certification by American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
